Have you ever experienced the scale going up and down, a muffin top that wouldn’t disappear, emotional eating binges, and struggling with insecurity? I sure have, and through all of it I just wanted to feel normal. I wanted to be happy like everyone else seemed to be.

​In my teens, twenties, and thirties, I wanted the quick fixes, the magic pills, the fairy dust-whatever I could get my hands on to make me look lean, happy, and sexy. I found out it doesn't exist. I wanted to cry! I was so frustrated. When I talked with other women, I discovered they felt the same way. So, over the last twenty-five years I delved further into holistic health-the emotional, mental, and physical; and through this journey, Cookie Dough in the Dark was born.

This book is my raw, painful, and very real journey with sugar addiction. The upside is that it also reveals the simple shifts I took to heal myself emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I'm no longer fighting the sugar cravings, and I am slimmer, stronger, and healthier than I was in my youth.
